Stock Stone Packaging

Halbert Mill designed the first plastic cartons for the stone industry in 2003. Since that time, we have shipped more than 20 truckloads annually to stone companies nationwide.

We also stock a carton and surround for immediate shipment from our Texas facility.

The stock items are WHITE plastic and are sold in PALLET quantities FOB HMC.

HANDIFOLD CARTON requires no glue and measures 23.5x15.5x7 inches deep. Depending on rock thickness, the cartons hold 10-11 wall square feet (WSF). They are designed to fit five per layer on a 40x48 pallet. A loaded carton will weigh between 100-150 pounds, depending on product density.

PALLET HALF SURROUNDS feature 2 halves plus a 2x4 frame to make a stackable surround of 39x47x20 inches deep. Customers furnish the pallet and frame materials and assemble on site.

Designed for 160-170 WSF, the completed 2-piece surround fits on a 39x40x48 pallet with 1/2 inch clearance. Note that the frame is slightly smaller than the pallet. A loaded pallet may weigh up to 3,000 pounds.

Custom Stone Packaging

The Halbert Mill is an industry leader in packaging both manufactured and natural stone products.

Our plastic corrugated surrounds and cartons may be printed in two colors for a custom design that delivers outstanding performance for exterior storage as well as an excellent marketing tool for your stone.

PALLET SURROUNDS are designed to be stacked outside for extended storage time. The photo at right provides a cutaway view of the surround and pallet lid, as well as the colors available (click here for a detailed illustration).

SELF-LOCKING CARTONS require no tape or staples and are designed to carry up to 60 pounds of contents.

Each carton locks together to ensure your product receives maximum protection from time spent in outside storage until delivery to the job site.

BLISS CARTONS are most efficient for the high volume stone company. The cartons are engineered to your specifications and delivered in three pieces to your plant. The pieces are assembled by a carton-forming machine owned by the stone company. The cost of the machine is offset by the 15-25% savings over comparable sized folding and locking cartons.
